ABOUT THE RESIDENCY

Rooted in Portland.
Raised by Art.

The Residency is a creative sanctuary in Portland's Pearl District, founded by two artists committed to soulful, serious work. This is a place where art is made, shared, and experienced slowly.

OUR VISION

Built on Process, Presence, and Intention.

At The Residency, we believe in art as a return to presence. We created this space as a quiet refuge from the noise, where the process matters as much as the outcome, and where the beauty of slowness is protected.

This is our philosophy. This is our promise.

Founders & Studio Leads

Leah Kohlenberg and Pippa Arend are the artists at the heart of The Residency. Together, they shape the gallery’s identity, exhibitions, and studio culture.
